Studio Apparatus Sessions
Studio apparatus sessions are perfect if you are rehabilitating from surgery or an injury, or have specific health, sport or fitness requirements. The sessions are individually tailored to suit your personal needs working on bespoke ‘ state of the art ‘ Pilates apparatus such as the reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, ladder barrel and spinal arc. The apparatus involves springs and pulleys to enable the teacher to control the amount of resistance that you are working against, whilst maintaining support for the body. This means that it is much easier to feel the correct muscles working, and you will therefore improve much more quickly. We also use many other small pieces of equipment, as well as performing some matwork exercises. Prior to starting studio sessions you will be invited to attend an Initial Consultation. (please see below)
Sessions last for 60 minutes.
An affordable and popular method of having an individual programme but in a group environment.
£27.50 (per person) or £250.00 block of 10 / £130.00 block of 5
Tailored sessions for clients who have specific rehabilitation, health or fitness needs that require undivided attention, or for those who prefer an exclusive session.
The purpose of an initial consultation is to discuss your health background, what you want to achieve, and to conduct a full postural and movement assessment. We will then introduce you to the fundamentals of Pilates and some basic exercises which will allow us to assess your muscular balance, mobility and flexibility. Based on your consultation we will be able to mutually agree how best to progress.
For rehabilitation and injuries it is important that you have been cleared by your doctor or surgeon before you begin exercising. Please complete the health screening form sent to you prior to your consultation, and bring along any notes from your doctor or health practitioner that may be helpful.
The consultation lasts for 60 minutes.
